
CME EVENT--The Business Side of Vaccines: Immunization Information You Can Use - ICAAP Seminar, Thursday, October 25, 2012
The ICAAP seminar The Business Side of Vaccines: Immunization Information You Can Use is designed for pediatricians, family physicians, nurse practitioners, office managers and practice billing/coding staff as well as other allied health care professionals caring for children. This seminar will feature local expert faculty presenting topics that highlight ideal business practices related to vaccine financing, reimbursement and incentive programs. The seminar will combine lectures, question-and-answer sessions and networking to allow attendees the opportunity to interact with the faculty in solving the problems encountered in daily practice.
By attending the 2012 ICAAP Business Side of Vaccines: Immunization Information You Can Use seminar, participants will:
- Review proper vaccine storage and handling.
- Learn the benefits of meaningful use and integrating Electronic Health Records (EHRs) to the state of Illinois immunization registry (I-CARE)
- Acquire new knowledge of the business side of vaccines by reviewing updated and proper CPT codes for vaccine products and administration
- Review existing resources for improving the efficiency for delivering immunizations

Parking: Free parking is available in the Christ Hospital parking garages and surface lots. Parking tickets can be validated at the seminar registration table. Valet parking is also available for free in front of the Conference Center or consult Google maps for public transportation options.

hours of Category 1 credit for completing this program.
This program is accredited for 3.75 NAPNAP CE contact hours of which 0.5 contain pharmacology (Rx)
content per the National Association of Pediatric
Nurse Practitioners (NAPNAP) Continuing Education Guidelines.
